(2-16-10, Florida) Penn Fusion Soccer Academy’s Coppa U17 Boys went 2-1 this past weekend in US Youth National League play. They currently sit in second place with 15 points and are in a strong position to make the trip to the 2010 Youth Soccer Nationals. Penn Fusion opened the weekend’s play with a 2-0 victory over CESA Premier (SC). Owen Griffith opened scoring in the 13th minute and then clinched the victory with a second goal in the 81st minute from 20 yards out! In their last game of the weekend, Penn Fusion started strong with 18th and 24th minute goals by Robert Friskey and Benjamin Maurey. Brandon Stevis’ well placed free kick was headed past the goalie by Maurey extending their lead to 3-0. The game ended 3-1 and puts Penn Fusion solidly into second place.
