ZANDI SELECTED FOR U17 WORLD CUP TEAM
Aug 2016: Penn Fusion ECNL player, SYDNEY ZANDI, was named one of the 21 players who will represent the U.S. at the 2016 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup being held in Jordan from Sept 30-Oct 21. The team is currently in Florida for their final training camp before departing for Jordan later this month. During this camp the team will play Venesuela twice to complete their preparation. Zandi was also part of the U.S team that won the CONCACAF championship last March which qualified them for the World Cup. Congratulations Sydney! More on this story
ZANDI STARTS 2016 AT NATIONAL TEAM CAMP
Penn Fusion's SYDNEY ZANDI will be returning to the U.S. Under-17 Women's National Team for an important training camp from January 3-10 in Florida. Head coach, B.J. Snow has called up 26 players for the second-to-last event before the squad enters CONCACAG qualifying in early March that will qualify three teams for the 2016 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup to be held in Jordan in September. ROSENBERRY DRAFTED BY UNION
1.18.15: Penn Fusion '93B Elite alumnus KEEGAN ROSENBERRY, and current Georgetown University captain, was drafted by the Philadelphia Union in the first round of the Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft held at the Baltimore Convention Center. Keegan was drafted in the No. 3 spot to the Union. He was a Second Team All-BIG EAST honoree for three consecutive seasons and was named to Preseason All-Big EAST and to the BIG EAST Honor Roll! Congratulations Keegan and welcome home!
FONTANA SELECTED FOR U18 MNT
1.18.15: Congratulations to Penn Fusion '99B Elite alumnus, ANTHONY FONTANA, on his selection to the U.S U18 Men's National Team Camp. The camp will be held in Florida from January 17-23, 2016. Fontana is currently a member of the Philadelphia Union Academy. Congratulations Anthony!
DORWART GATORADE PA PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Feb 2016: Penn Fusion U17 ECNL player, RACHAEL DORWART was named the 2015/16 Gatorade Pennslvania Girls Soccer Player of the Year! For the second year in a row, a Penn Fusion player has received this prestigious award honoring the nation's best high school athletes. Rachael scored 47 goals and had 12 assists leading Cumberland Valley High School to the Class AAA state semifinals. She missed two high school games because she was called up to the U.S. Soccer U17 Women's National Team camp. As a freshman, Rachael made a verbal commitment to the University of North Carolina. McCOOL HEADS TO U19 WNT CAMP
1.14.16: Penn Fusion U18 ECNL player, MEGHAN McCOOLwas selected to the roster for the U.S. Soccer U-19 Women's National Team camp which is to be held January 23-30 in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. This is a return trip for McCool who pulled U-20 WNT team camp duty in 2015! Well done Meghan!
BURNELL SELECTED FOR U15 NATIONAL CAMP
Feb 2016: Penn Fusion U15 ECNL player, JULIA BURNELL, was selected to the roster for the upcoming U.S Soccer U-15 Girls' National Team training camp in Carson, CA. The camp will take place Feb 27-March 5. This is Julia's third trip to a National Team camp!! Congratulations Julia!
McCOOL RETURNS TO U19 WNT CAMP
3.8.16: Penn Fusion U18 ECNL player, MEGHAN McCOOL, returns to the second event for the U.S. U19 Women's National Team in 2016. Twenty-six players will head to northern California for training camp that will run from March 12-19. This is the second trip to the U19 WNT camp for Meghan and her fourth trip overall. DAIGLE SELECTED FOR U14 GNT CAMP
3.14.16: Penn Fusion U13 PreECNL player, KYLIE DAIGLE, was selected to the roster for the U.S. Soccer U14 Girls' National Team training camp. The camp will take place March 19-March 26 in Carson, California. As part of U.S. Soccer's National Team programming in 2016, the U14 Girls' National Team is beginning a one year cycle for the best players in the country born in 2002. Congratulations Kylie!
DAIGLE, ZANDI, MOYER RETURN TO NATIONAL TEAM ACTION
Penn Fusion ECNL players, KYLIE DAIGLE, SYDNEY ZANDI and SHEA MOYER will be returning to U.S. National Team Camp this summer. Daigle will be returning to U14 Girls National team duty and reporting to Fort Collins, Colorado on July 9. Zandi will be reporting to U17 WNT duty and reporting to Raleigh, North Carolina on July 6. Moyer will be heading to England wth the U18 WNT on July 6. Congratulations girls!
