 WANT TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER COACH?

  • The PFSA Recreation League relies on volunteer parent coaches to lead our teams through each season. Please see below for the next steps.

WHAT ARE THE STEPS TO BEOME A VOLUNTEER COACH?

  • Successfully complete the club required clearances and background checks - CLICK HERE

  • League will review all coach applications and will approve/deny and will assign coaches to specific team (Parents can coach their child/children).

  • Send a welcome email to your team (the club will provide you an example email, your roster, and player/family contact info)

  • Submit a practice field request.

  • Weekly communication to your team confirming practices and game(s).

  • Run 1 weekly practice and manage one weekly game during the season (all coaches are provided a curriculum and printable training session plans)

    • teams can also have an assigned assistant coach.

  • Each age group has an Age Group Commissioner (AGC).  Every coach must report any serious diciplinary issues or injuries to your AGC in a timely manner (must complete Injury/Incident report form).

  • Attend the Coaches Kick Off Meeting (this will be an oline webinar via Zoom so coaches can log on in the comfort of their own homes).

  • Head or Assistant Coach picks up the uniform for the team and distributes it at the first team practice (or another team parent can be assigned as 'Uniform Cooddinator'.

  • Adhere to all league/club rules, regulations, and policies.
